Summary

This tutorial guides you through the steps to install SmartCAE Digital Cold Chain on your computer. For this, kindly follow the steps below:
  1. Download the Wolfram Player software
  2. Install the Wolfram Player software
  3. Activate the Player as Player Pro
  4. Download the installer file for SmartCAE Digital Cold Chain
  5. Install the SmartCAE Digital Cold Chain software
  6. Run SmartCAE Digital Cold Chain

Step 1: Download the Wolfram Player Software

Follow this link to download the Wolfram Player in the version best supported by the SmartCAE software:
https://download.smartcae.de/WolframPlayer-13.0.1-WIN.exe 

Step 2: Install Wolfram Player

To install the Wolfram Player, please double-click on the downloaded installer file and follow the instructions. You will need administration privileges for your computer to install the Player. This might require your IT department.

Step 3: Activate as Player Pro

After installing, the Wolfram Player needs to be activated as Player Pro. For this you need an activation key. To get the activation key:
  • New: If you are doing a new installation, you have received an email from us with an activation key.
  • Update: If you already have an older version of the Wolfram Player installed and you update to a new version: Copy your current activation key and email it to us at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.. We will entitle your old Player version for the update, so you can use the existing key.

Start the Wolfram Player and activate it as Player Pro with your activation key. 

Step 4: Download SmartCAE Software

Follow this link to download the current version of SmartCAE Digital Cold Chain:
https://download.smartcae.de/Install-DigitalColdChain.cdf

Step 5: Install Digital Cold Chain 

After activating Player Pro, you can install the SmartCAE Digital Cold Chain software. To do so, follow these steps:


 
Upon installation completion, the installer will show the following content:
Note: In some cases, the blue Enable Dynamics button is displayed again. In this case, press the Enable Dynamics button to proceed to the screen below.
 
 
Quit the installer by pressing the Quit button. You are now ready to start the new version by double-clicking the Digital Cold Chain icon on your desktop.

Step 6: Run Digital Cold Chain

Double-click the Digital Cold Chain icon on your desktop to open the SmartCAE Digital Cold Chain start screen.
From there you can start the various modules of the SmartCAE Digital Cold Chain software. Tiles displayed in gray indicate that the respective module is not licensed and cannot be used.
