Manual License Import
Normally, when you start the SmartCAE software, it automatically downloads the license file in the background. If, for some reason, that does not work, you can manually install a license file.
Step 1: Get your license file
Send us an email at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. and we will send you your current file by email.
If you know your license ID, you can also download it yourself here:
Replace the placeholder LXXXX-XXXX with your license ID. Depending on the browser you use, the license file will be downloaded or just be shown in the browser. If it is shown, you need to save it to disk by right-clicking on the shown file content and choose “Save as” to save the content to file. This will open a file-save dialog with the correct filename (“LXXXX-XXXX.json”, where LXXXX-XXXX again is replaced with you actual license ID). Please do not change the filename as it needs to have that name for the import to work.
Step 2: Import the license file
Import the license file using the „Import License File“ button❶ in the Digital Cold Chain preferences. A file-open dialog will show. Please select the license file you downloaded. Once done, select the “Open” button ❷in that dialog to import the license file.
Step 3: Restart Digital Cold Chain
Once the file is imported, please restart the application to make use of the new license information. The software will now show the imported license data.
